Packages are for users wishing to extend the functionality of their pfSense installation may add packages from a selection of software. The packages at TomSchaefer.org are activially developed and supported.

IPblocklist

ipblocklist uses the PG2 format for lists. You can block anti-p2p IPs, countries, hackers, SPAMers, and more. Each list is loaded into a pf table and is run at startup.

Country block

Country block blocks all country networks selcted. If you don't have business in that country then why do you put up with their SPAM? Many companies use this package to reduce attacks and SPAM.

File Manager

File Manager allows you to download and upload files to the pfsense file structure. You can edit files directly with the manager as well. This package is perfect for diagnostic work or just tinkering.

All packages are released for free!

Each package was created from the ideas of pfsnese users. All work is open source and available to be modified by anyone. So your company is free to modify as brand as they choose.

Updates are frequently released. To get the latest version check the pfsense package manager for an update. If you would like to get more information about the packages then please contact me on the pfsense forums or via this site.

Packages

All packages are activly supported and are still being developed on.

With Country Block you can block any country you want at the Firewall level. You can optionally block access to as well as access from. This package is mainly for reducing SPAM and unwanted traffic.

Just like PeerGuardian2 the IP-Blocklist package can block ranges of IPs from lists or manual input. This is a Global IP blocking package.

  • Reduce SPAM
  • Reduce attacks such as DDoS or remote exploits
  • Eliminate 'bad' traffic at the firewall level. It's dropped before anything enters.
  • Block anti P2P groups. It's like a Peerblock install on your firewall.

New packages are being developed all the time. BETA testing must be accomplished before release and spcial testers verify the package before being release to the public
